Outstanding mountain views with a wonderful, private location 2 miles from Route 89, Ben & Jerry's ice cream, Route 100, Route 2, Waterbury Village, 2 large supermarkets, numerous restaurants and shopping. We're 5 minutes to the Waterbury reservoir which offers some exceptional outdoor fun year round, especially in the summer time. We are located near the VAST snowmobile trails as well. There are 2 golf courses very close by (one is 3/10 of a mile, the 2nd is 2 miles). We are close to several ski resorts and 10 minutes to Stowe, 30 minutes to the Burlington Airport and 15 minutes to the Mad River Valley.

Newly built in late 2005, the home is situated on 3+ acres and offers ~3400 square feet of finely detailed, finished space on the upper 2 floors. There are 5 large bedrooms (one being used as an office), including the Master, and 3 full baths on the 2nd floor. As you would expect for a home of this quality, you will find additional amenties such as Central Air, Central Vac (all levels, including garage), radiant heating (1st floor and lower level) with high-efficiency baseboard on 2nd floor, merbau hardwood flooring, two beautiful gas fireplaces and a large screened porch. The home was just awarded the highest level of Energy Star efficiency possible - 5 Star.

The first floor is comprised of a large bath with a beautiful Italian-tiled floor and period-style sink. There is a mudroom straight out of a magazine that should be a model mudroom for all homes in VT. Benches, extensive cubby storage, storage closet and a dog / child shower. A professional kitchen with black-honed granite countertops, high-end stainless appliances including a dual-fuel range and 2nd oven. There is a full, walk-in pantry that rivals many kitchens. Here, you'll find substantial cabinets and storage, granite countertops, a 2nd fridge and Marvel wine cooler. The Master bedroom is oversized and has cathedral ceilings and many built-ins. An oversized walk-in closet has natural lighting as well as access from both ends of the Master bedroom. The master bath has a separate jacuzzi tub, with it's own heating element to keep the water warm. His & Her sinks are complemented with individual mirrors and shelves as well as plenty of storage. The large master shower is tiled beautifully and there are 4 body sprays in addition to the traditional shower head.

There is an additional ~1200 square feet in a beautifully finished lower-level walkout basement. The layout includes an additional bedroom (6 total in the house), full bath, storage room and, play room and very large home theater area / pool table / dart board and bar. There is a 60" plasma TV, with 7.1 surround sound along with a DVR, DVD and Blu-Ray player. Lots of natural light and wonderful mountain views. The majority of rooms in the home, as well as a couple of outside locations, have a sophisticated, high-end home audio system controllable by a keypad in each room. As a multi-source & multi-room system, you may enjoy one style of music in one room yet listen to another source in a separate room. All totaled, there are over 14 pairs of very high-end speakers installed including outside speakers on the screened porch. Over 2000 feet of Monster Cable (CL3 - 14 gauge) has been run. Each primary location for which there would be a TV in the house (3 primary locations) has been wired for home theater.

The exterior has significant detail consistent with the period reproduction. Consideration to maintenance is evident in the additional flashing over the windows, to guard against pealing paint, cement-fiber siding to reduce movement and hold paint better, full gutters & downspouts around the entire house, selective use of composite materials to minimize upkeep but retain a traditional look. A good portion of the foundation has had a stone-veneer applied to further add to the reproduction style look.

Overall, the exterior is as nice as the interior with extensive stone walls, walkways, antique cedar split-rail fence and multiple gardens boasting thousands of bulbs, perennials and a fruit tree orchard with several varieties of apple, pear, cherry and plum. There is a deck and wonderful screened porch to add to your enjoyment. As mentioned, there are "big" mountain views.

Please feel free to view the photos.

If you are interested in looking further, please feel free to email us waterburyvt@live.com.

As this is our home, we ask that any interested parties be just that: interested....Please, have a serious interest and we will treat you with great courtesy.
